Coveris, one of Europe’s leading packaging manufacturers, has a long tradition of training apprentices and continues to make a significant investment in a growing apprenticeship programme. With 15 UK sites, 2,500 employees and nearly 50 apprentices (a number set to increase this year!) there are many opportunities to train as an apprentice within Coveris. A series of apprentice-themed posts including interviews have been published on our social media channels throughout National Apprenticeship Week and will continue to do so through the remainder of the week for an insight into life as an apprentice at Coveris.

Currently, there are nearly 50 apprentices in action across a variety of functions from operations to customer services. This is a sustained programme aiming to create the future leaders of Coveris, from within the business. Our apprentices undertake real jobs while developing their skills and knowledge, gaining a qualification and making a valuable contribution.

The Customer Service Trailblazer Programme (Level 2) currently underway in Coveris’ Labels and Board division is an example of an apprenticeship opportunity offered to current employees. The bespoke course provides an opportunity for staff to enhance skills through an apprenticeship alongside their role.
