Packaging manufacturer Coveris has worked with quality snacking brand Taste Inc. for the launch of their new cooked chicken range targeting health-conscious consumers. Taste Inc., a brand by CP Foods, launched its first range of ready-to-eat chargrilled chicken fillets this year with a convenient packaging solution developed together with Coveris in response to growing snacking, food-on-the-go and protein trends.
Taste Inc.’s chargrilled chicken fillets are available to purchase individually and as ‘Fridge Filler’ multipacks comprising of five separate portions. The Taste Inc. ready-to-eat range is available in two flavours: original and spicy, and can be purchased nationwide from Morrisons, Ocado and Nisa.
Designed for convenience, each chicken portion in the Taste Inc. range is packed in its own compartment, with the ‘Fridge Filler’ packs featuring tear perforations for easy separation. Enabling Taste Inc.’s chicken fillets to be eaten as a snack or a quick addition to a meal, the packaging works with the product to deliver quality, ease of use and shelf life benefits.
Taste Inc.’s 100% Chargrilled Chicken Fillets were recently announced as a finalist in the World Food Innovation Awards 2017 in the ‘Best Food Concept’ and ‘Best Snacking Innovation’ categories.

Taste Inc. packs are manufactured using the latest film technologies developed by Coveris’ extrusion facility in Winsford and deliver excellent seal strength and pack integrity. Film is converted at Coveris’ Gainsborough site and features high definition flexographic print for a unique on-shelf presentation with Taste Inc.’s quirky branding.
Tear propagation technology enables consumers to easily open packs and tear off individual portions from the ‘Fridge Filler’ multipack. With each chicken fillet conveniently stored in its own compartment, shelf life is not compromised until individual packs are opened for consumption, helping to maintain food quality and reduce food waste.
