Recognised as a major contributor to household food waste, Tesco’s cooked meats category sought a new lidding solution to improve open-pack life through better storage, as well as delivering an easy open function to aid access and reduce the need for ‘re-wrapping’ due to film tearing.

Combining dual demands for easy-opening and strong adherent properties for a peel and reseal functionality, Coveris applied rigorous testing to develop a new barrier solution that enabled a low-tension easier opening, reclose lidding film.
