Coveris has once again received the award for Flexible Plastics Pack of the Year at this year’s UK Packaging awards with its Freshlife MAP avocado packs for Tesco and Waitrose, created in partnership with Greencell.
We are currently recruiting for a Despatch Operative to join our Production team based at Coveris UK’s Cramlington site. This role is both permanent and full time, working on a triple shift.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Orders are ready to be despatched
The communication of required stock adjustments
Support the CSE function through clear communication of possible delivery failures in line with Coveris standards of service
Liaising with all internal departments to establish when jobs will be ready to be despatched.
Ensuring all despatches are entered onto the transport spreadsheet
Recording accurately and completely all transport information
Filing and general admin within the office
Maintenance and good housekeeping
Working to tight schedules to ensure a high level of service to all departments
To adhere to the companies Health & Safety and Hygiene policies
To fully understand and have knowledge of Prism and its use in all aspects of despatch as per training given
Fully understand and despatch customer deliveries as per training given
Booking in goods with customers via email or telephone communication
Booking transport for required customer deliveries
Excellent communicator (written and verbal) at all times
Great attention to detail
Strategic and innovative thinker
Organised and calm under pressure
Friendly, approachable and flexible – a team player
Proactive and enthusiastic
To be trusted to use own initiative
Travel may be required therefore current, clean driving licence is essential
Computer literate – MS Outlook, Excel, Word
Previous despatch experience
Counterbalance licence is essential and Stand on Stacker / Order Picker are desirable
