Ink Technician

We are currently recruiting for an Ink Technician to join our Production team based at our Spalding site working a triple shift.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

Ensure inks and varnishes are allocated to press prior to make ready

Comply with all Health and Safety policies and promote a safe working environment

Condense stock (ongoing)

Maintain stock levels

Ensure stock rotation of inks

Ensure good communication with our designated supplier implant supporting the group, and any other key suppliers

Maintain ink dispenser and other equipment to a high level

Pre-Press - To colour match, mix and issue process and mixed inks, including varnishes, for press following colour instructions as supplied and issue according to work schedules

On Press - Maintain ink and varnish levels during production runs

Post Press - Return unused inks and varnishes to stock; remove used tubs & lids and recycle/dispose of in the correct manner

Maintain and clean aniloxs when requested

Conduct monthly ink stock counts

Cross reference all delivery notes to order supplied, and pass checked delivery notes through to purchasing

Maintain and control rag stock levels, maintain all rag bins, replenish and remove spent full rag bags

Working to schedules and other instructions issued from Factory Manager and Shift Managers

Participation in company Continuous Improvement / CPS activities

Maintenance and good housekeeping following the Clean As You Go policy

Clear understanding of Company Handbook

 

Key Requirements

Ability to manage and deal with change in a fast moving and demanding environment while still maintaining standards set within the business

Should be able to use own initiative, when necessary

A need to be flexible around working schedules, which can be subject to change
