National Account Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a National Account Manager to join the External Sales team and offers a competitve salary. The main focus of the role is to deliver proactive account management to a portfolio of accounts.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Manage ad-hoc queries and enquiries generated by account portfolio

Liaise with internal departments to ensure requests are followed up and required information and support are

completed in timeframes acceptable to the client and Coveris

Manage external and internal expectations

Develop new relationships with Blue Chip and private label retail manufactures

Contribute to strategic planning in the selected categories

Growing the Sales and profitability of the account

Contribute on a regular basis to internal and external communications

Develop and manage relationships with key people within the organisation

Respond to queries on specific sales initiatives relevant to their market and clients

Proactively monitors and strives to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency

Negotiating pricing and commercial terms and contract within the agreeable standards

Overseeing the excellent customer service to the account

Supporting internal CSE’s to provide good communication and detail to fully support their needs

Forecasting demand and liaising with supply chain to ensure continuity of supply

Develop and own a pipeline funnel against a new business target with ability to introduce new clients to Coveris based on historic or new relationships

Support and provide solutions for outside the box opportunities within the category

 

Key Requirements:

Strong and experienced manager with strong interpersonal and communication skills

Demonstrate a track record of achieving profitable product sales growth within demanding large FMCG Ambient / Food product categories. A history of dealing with Bluechip businesses would be advantageous

At least 2 years’ experience within a manufacturing / packaging background

Packaging /FMCG sales experience necessary, ideally labels

Have a sound understanding of modern business planning, negotiation, commercial acumen and influencing skills

Have organisational and time management skills

Have a wide range of problem solving techniques

Excellent project management skills

Organised and calm under pressure

Proactive, positive, enthusiastic - demonstrates “can do” attitude

Travel is required, therefore a full driving license is essential
